The Texans think they’ve hit on rookie QB C.J. Stroud, who has led the team to a 7-6 record which has them right in the midst of the AFC playoff hunt. Unfortunately Stroud is out (concussion) and will miss the battle with fellow rookie signal caller Will Levis, who led the Titans to an improbable win over the Dolphins on the bright stage of Monday Night Football last week.

Before Betting on Texans vs Titans

Stroud had been putting up some legendary numbers, setting a rookie record with 470 yards passing in a week 9 win over the Buccaneers while throwing 20 TDs to only 5 INTs on the season. He was knocked out of last Sunday’s 30-6 loss to the Jets though, and will be replaced by Davis Mills who does have a lot of experience with 26 starts over the past two years.

What’s unfortunate for Houston is that Stroud is not their only injury as the team tries to break away from a crowded AFC that sees six teams with a 7-6 record, one game back of the wild card. Their top two WRs Tank Dell (leg) and Nico Collins (chest) are both out Sunday as is DE Will Anderson, Jr. (ankle).

The Titans aren’t quite as ravaged by injuries as their opponents are (aside from standout DT Jeffery Simmons missing this game with a knee injury) but Tennessee is on the short week which was also very emotional. The Titans were able to upset Miami after scoring two TDs in the final 3 minutes.

Texans vs Titans Week 15 Prediction & Pick

Tennessee has a quick turnaround after a big win on the road Monday, but the injuries for Houston are just too much to overcome. The Titans are playing well lately, and that should continue in this spot.
