Carolina has their starting QB of the future because of the Bears, who they traded up with in the offseason to select Bryce Young with the #1 pick. These two intertwined teams meet up on Thursday night in Chicago for the Panthers vs Bears matchup to kick off the NFL’s week 10 slate, a real humdinger of a game that features two of the three worst clubs in the NFL.

Before Betting on Panthers vs Bears

Chicago received a haul for the top pick in the 2023 draft which included WR D.J. Moore as well as Carolina’s #1 pick in next year’s draft. That gives the Bears a little extra incentive on Thursday considering handing the Panthers a loss would keep Chicago in possession of what is projected as the #2 pick right now.

Chicago gets a bit of a break on Thursday night, not just back home after playing two straight road games but also facing a much more manageable defense than the talented Chargers and Saints squads of the last two weeks. It also doesn’t hurt that Carolina is very banged up on that side of the ball, with edge rusher Brian Burns (concussion) and 2-3 starters in the secondary will likely miss this contest.

Thursday’s contest is definitely a tale of two different QB situations, with #1 pick Bryce Young being opposed by undrafted Tyson Bagent out of Division II Sheffield. Both young signal callers have had their share of issues with Young throwing two pick-sixes last week in a loss to the Colts while Bagent accounted for four turnovers in a defeat against New Orleans.

Panthers vs Bears Week 10 Prediction & Pick

It’s a short week with two very bad teams so anything can happen on Thursday night. Chicago is at home and has a major advantage of being able to run the football – a young QBs best. When you combine that with all of Carolina’s injuries the Bears have to be the play.

Pick: Bears -3
