The Raiders (7-8) have to find a way to get out of “letdown mode” when they visit the Colts (8-7) on Sunday. Las Vegas is coming off the big 20-14 upset over the Chiefs on Christmas Day and now play a second straight road game trying to keep their faint playoff hopes alive. Indianapolis is going to come out motivated, as they are in a three way tie with the Jaguars and the Texans for the top spot in the AFC South.

Before Betting on Week 17 Las Vegas Raiders vs Indianapolis Colts

The Colts are in the hunt either for the division title or also the wild card where they currently have the tie breaker for the final spot. The Steelers and Bengals are also 8-7 and these Raiders and the Broncos are just a game back so Indianapolis can’t afford to lay an egg like they did in last week’s 29-10 loss to the Falcons.

Indianapolis did a nice job of bouncing back from their last road loss 34-14 at Cincinnati, returning home to beat up on the Steelers 30-13. They hope that is the formula for when Las Vegas visits on Sunday, but the Indianapolis offense needs to be better after throwing for just 170 yards and running for 92 in Atlanta.

Antonio Pierce has restored order in Las Vegas, leading the team to a 4-3 record after taking over for the fired Josh McDaniels. Pierce’s defense has held opponents to 21 points or less in six of those seven games but the Raiders need to find some consistency on offense. In the last three games LV has scored 0 points, then 63, and then 20 in last week’s win over the Chiefs.

2023 Week 17 Raiders vs Indianapolis Prediction & Pick

If Las Vegas had any semblance of offense they’d have some great value at +4.5 the way their defense has been playing. This could be the week they get some production on that side of the ball, with rookie QB Aidan O’Connell returning back to Indiana where he went to school at Purdue to face a Colts defense that gave up 177 rush yards to Atlanta and a 23/33 229 passing yard day to Taylor Heinicke

Pick: Raiders +4.5
