Buccaneers Looking For Fourth Consecutive Win

There was huge pressure for the Buccaneers before the season got underway, as they had made global headlines by bringing in Tom Brady. The legendary quarterback had achieved a period of dominance with the New England Patriots, and his impact was expected to springboard the Buccaneers into Super Bowl contention. Initially, there were fears that the project was going to fall flat, as they looked lightyears away from competing in the Super Bowl in the home stadium in February after their opening day defeat.

However, since then, they have played excellently. They come into this match in Chicago having won their last three, which ensures that they are top of the NFC South. Back-to-back wins against the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos followed their opening defeat, while their last match before this fixture was against the Los Angeles Chargers. Brady completed 369 passing yards in the win, and threw five touchdowns. Those touchdowns in the win were scored by Mike Evans, Scott Miller, O.J Howard, Ke’Shawn Vaughn and Cameron Brate.

Bears Hoping For A Response

The 100% record that the Chicago Bears had to begin the NFL season was brought to an end in their last outing. They went into that game having won their first three games to the new season. Those victories came against the Detroit Lions, New York Giants and Atlanta Falcons. However, they were unable to make it four wins in a row as they were narrowly beaten by the Indianapolis Colts.

The Colts started the stronger of the two teams, as they scored seven unanswered points in the opening period. Chicago scored their first points of the game in the second quarter, but they were still outscored 6-3. Colts pressed home their dominance further in the third by scoring three more points. The Bears tried to get back into the game in the final quarter but they could only outscore the Colts 8-3, which meant that they lost the game 19-11.

Buccaneers @ Bears Recent Meetings

The Bears have won three of the previous five meetings between the teams. The most recent of those victories came in September 2018, as they ran out 48-10 winners. However, this will be a completely different match compared to that occasion.

Buccaneers @ Bears Picks

The Bucs have begun to show some of their best form of the season, and talk about them being a contender for the Super Bowl are growing louder and louder. This will likely be another win for the travelling team, but there will certainly be tougher challenges ahead.
