The situation in Detroit is, let’s say, hot. The Lions are in the Divisional Round and have a chance to reach the NFC Championship game. To do that, they need to defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who made a sensation in the opening round, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles.

Before Betting on Buccaneers vs. Lions

Baker Mayfield was written off. The Bucs were written off before the season started. They both were written off against the Eagles, yet shut down all the doubters. Sure, some will say that the NFC South is too weak, but beating the Eagles in Philly is a big deal.

A 32-9 explosion at the Lincoln Financial Field was because Baker had 337 yards with three TDs, and the defense, who stopped the run very well, limiting the rivals to 2.8 yards per carry and only three 1st rushing downs.

Jared Goff had his revenge against his former team, the LA Rams, but he now has another challenge. He wants to lead the Lions to two playoff victories for the first time since 1957 and once more go deep in the playoffs. He wasn’t that confident against the Rams, but the defense was there to step up when needed.

Aidan Hutchinson had two sacks and five QB hits, harassing the LAR offensive line throughout all 60 minutes. There wasn’t a moment when he didn’t pressure the tackles. Amon-Ra St. Brown had 110 receiving yards, which needs to be mentioned.

The Bucs will stop here. Lions are looking like a more versatile team and healthier as well because several of the Buccaneers’ stars have minor or major fitness issues. Plus, the Lions have Hutchinson, who won’t have a decent adversary in Tampa’s O-line.
