The 2023/24 regular season may already be a lost cause for both UCLA (8-11) and USC (8-11) but a big win for either on Saturday could be the propulsion needed for a nice final Pac-12 Tournament run before moving to the Big Ten next year. Both clubs need it, as the Bruins have lost five of their last seven while the Trojans have dropped six of eight.

Before Betting on UCLA vs USC NCAAB

USC’s current four game losing streak is understandable considering they’ve recently lost their top two leading scorers to injury. Isaiah Collier (15.4 ppg) is out until the middle of next month with a hand injury but Trojans coach Andy Enfield is optimistic that Boogie Ellis (18.7 ppg) can get back in the lineup on Saturday night after missing the last three games with a hamstring injury.

Getting Ellis back on the floor would be huge for USC considering he had 31 points last January to lead the 77-64 Trojans win over UCLA.

UCLA got humbled in a big way on January 11th when they fell 90-44 at Utah for the program’s worst loss in the last 27 years. On the bright side the Bruins have played better since then, beating Washington (73-61) and Arizona State (68-66) both as the underdog and then failing to hold on to a 9-point halftime lead before a 77-71 defeat to #12 Arizona.

UCLA vs USC NCAAB Prediction & Pick

The return of Ellis definitely gives USC a little more value, but overall it’s UCLA that has been playing the better basketball lately. Have to take the points in what could easily be an outright Bruins win.
