Sweet Sixteen matchup between the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the Purdue Boilermakers will be one of the more attractive this Friday night. The two sides had already met at Maui International when Purdue defeated the rivals. More is at stake now.

Before Betting on Gonzaga Bulldogs vs. Purdue Boilermakers

Gonzaga’s dominance in the NCAA tournament has been undeniable, with impressive wins over McNeese State and Kansas. They rolled over Jayhawks 89-68, sending a message to all other rivals about their intentions. They trailed one point at halftime, before smashing the opponents 36-24 in the second 20 minutes.

The team’s offensive talent is incredible. The Bulldogs average 85 points per game, while their defense holds opponents to 68.8 points. Graham Ike leads the team with an average of 16.4 points and 7.3 boards and shoots 61.2 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from beyond the arc.

Purdue’s recent victory against Utah State, 106-67, showed what this team is all about. Previously, they were better than the Grambling Tigers, beating them in the first round 78-50. Zach Edey was the dominant force against Utah with 23 points and 14 rebounds, adding three blocks and two steals.

One of the most significant prospects in college is fantastic this year. Edey scores 24.5 points each night while shooting 62.3 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range, which makes him virtually unguardable at this level. The Canadian also grabs 12.1 boards per game and 2.3 blocks.

These two units have a very good offense, and even though many believe that the defenses should decide this event, we don’t share the same opinion. Both Zaga and Purdue have elite offensive talent, so the 154.5-point line looks good for over. We don’t want to meddle with picking the winner here, because this event can go either way.
