At the beginning of the year nobody could have predicted that Florida Atlantic and Kansas State would be playing for the opportunity to get to the Final 4, but that’s the Elite 8 matchup we’ve got on Saturday night. FAU had only appeared in the NCAA Tournament one time prior to this year while K-State was coming into the year with a new coach and predicted to finish near the bottom of the impressive Big 12.

Before Betting on Florida Atlantic vs Kansas State

Florida Atlantic pushed their winning streak to 10 games with their 62-55 win over Tennessee on Thursday night. FAU was down most of the night against the Volunteers but had a big 18-2 run late being led by 15 points from Johnell Davis.

The Owls have solid team play as evidenced by their 32-3 record on the season, but KSU has star power. Markquis Nowell, playing in his hometown New York, had a number of dazzling plays on Thursday en route to his 19 assist night in leading a 98-93 OT win over Tom Izzo and Michigan State. Keyontae Johnson added 22 points in the victory over the Spartans.

Kansas State first year head coach Jerome Tang did not fold under the bright lights of playing in Madison Square Garden on Thursday night, even against the veteran Izzo. Tang will have a more even playing field on Saturday, matching wits with FAU head coach Dusty May who has never been in this position either.

Florida Atlantic vs Kansas State Prediction & Pick

Nowell is on fire right now and K-State playing in the highly competitive Big 12 has prepared them for situations like this. KSU at just -1.5 seems like a gift.
