The US and the Canadian teams were supposed to meet in the FIBA World Cup finals, but both Germany and Serbia had other plans, sending the two sides to the third-place game.

Before Betting on USA vs. Canada

The US team lost to Germany in a thrilling semis, 113-111, rallying back, but not completely managing to take over control in the finish. This was the second loss for Steve Kerr’s boys at the World Cup after losing one event in the group stage to Lithuania.

The problem for this unit is size, as they don’t have any under the rim. Jaren Jackson Jr. and Bobby Portis can’t guard big guys, and that’s how they lost both events. Against Germany, we’ve seen the US unit having only 28 boards.

Meanwhile, Canada’s strong defense was nowhere to be seen against Serbia, who demolished Shai and the boys in transition. With all the athleticism, Canada was supposed to run up and down the field better, yet that didn’t happen.

The attack solely relied upon Shai’s one-on-one craft, and overall, he’s been Canada’s top scorer in this tournament so far with 23.6 points. He also has the most assists, 5.6 and boards, 6.4. Believe it or not, Dillon Brooks is the best shooter on the team.

The game has a competitive meaning for both units, especially Canada’s, because they might reach the medal here, their first ever, and boost their morale before the upcoming challenges. Though, we expect to see a game with a high number of points, because of the offensive power on both ends.
