It’s either Germany or Serbia in the 2023 FIBA World Cup finals. The two sides have reached the battle for the trophy and are confident in their victory. Though, it can only be one.

Before Betting on Germany vs. Serbia

The German team is undefeated at the World Cup, having seven wins. They have an excellent team, and what presents a big plus for them is Franz Wagner’s comeback to the court in the elimination stage. The fantastic forward scored 22 points against the USA.

Of course, Schroder, Theis, and older Wagner, are all NBA stars and lead the game, though we need to mention Andreas Obst, who delivered 24 against the Americans. After beating Latvia in the quarterfinals, they eliminated the USA, and that says enough about the power the German unit has.

Meanwhile, the Serbs began playing basketball in the quarterfinals, smashing Lithuania 87-68, and after that, Canada in the semis, 95-86. They are the best shooting team in the championship with 56% from the field, have the best +/- index, and overall, play very fast and efficient basketball.

Atlanta Hawks star sharpshooter Bogdan Bogdanovic leads the unit with 19.4 points, but the most important player is Nikola Milutinov, the strong center, averaging 13.6 points and nine boards. It’s a pity we didn’t see this guy in the NBA. The Serbs also have the best defender in the tournament, Aleksa Avramovic, Partizan Belgrade’s guard, who stopped all of his rivals so far.

The German unit is a slight favorite here, but overall, we wouldn’t meddle in picking the winner of the contest. These two teams are very close, and little details are going to decide who takes the prize. Meanwhile, we have two high-octane offenses, which is why betting on over seems like a reasonable pick.
