Marlon Vera and Dominick Cruz face off in the UFC on ESPN 41 main event, set for Saturday, July 13. This is a bantamweight bout, and for many, the one that could give the next title challenger.

Before Betting on Vera vs. Cruz

Marlon “Chito” Vera (19-7-1) is one of the most promising guys in this division. He has 29 years and is yet to enter his prime. The fighter from Ecuador is the No.5 in the rankings and has three wins in a row – vs. Grant, Edgar and Font.

Vera is a very agile and powerful guy, whose cardio is superb. He has seven KO wins, eight via submission, and four via decision. He is extremely good at stand-up fighting, and powerful combos are his main weapon.

Dominick Cruz (24-3) was a two-time UFC bantamweight champion and one of the most decorated fighters in the division. He had a long pause from MMA between 2016 and 2020 when he posted losses to Cody Garbrandt and Henry Cejudo.

Though after a comeback, he would beat Casey Kenney and Pedro Munhoz. Cruz’s movement and his cardio provide him a massive edge over the rivals, because his quickness during the fight is fantastic.

“Chito” Vera is on the rise, and his recent performances have been very good. We doubt that Cruz has what it takes to endure his pushes during the bout, especially because he didn’t have such an opponent in a long time. That is why we pick his victory.
