Pennsylvania bettors now have the luxury of choosing from seven online sportsbook brands, thanks to the rollout of the Unibet app by Kindred Group last week.

The operator has been running a Unibet-branded, land-based sportsbook at Mohegan Sun Pocono since late September, and now they have the opportunity to serve a more extensive customer base with their online and mobile betting offering.

The Unibet Sportsbook app began its mandatory soft-play phase mid-last week as required by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. The soft launch allows the regulator to test the platform for compliance and functionality before allowing the operator to accept wagers from the public.

The brand launched officially on Friday, making it the seventh online sportsbook in The Keystone State. Kindred is the second operator to join the burgeoning Pennsylvania online sports wagering market this month after DraftKings.

The other operational brands in Pennsylvania are FanDuel Sportsbook, Fox Bet, BetRivers, PlaySugarHouse, and Parx.

About The Unibet Sportsbook App

The Unibet-branded website and mobile sportsbook app are powered by Kambi software.

The sportsbook allows bettors to sign up and place wagers from any location in Pennsylvania, meaning that players are not required to visit Mohegan Sun Pocono to register online accounts.

The app features an array of sports markets ranging from football to basketball, baseball, cricket, golf, hockey, motorsports, soccer, tennis, as well as NCAA events. The available bet types include moneylines, spreads, total points, propositions, double chance, and in-play wagers, to name a few.

All customers who sign up with the sportsbook will get a $20 free bet no-deposit welcome bonus to use on a sports market of their choice. In addition, the player will have their first wager insured up to $250.

Bettors can access the online sportsbook from the web browser of their PC or a mobile device. For mobile users, Unibet has a downloadable app for Android devices, but Apple users will have to wait for a while since the iOS app is still in the works.

The supported methods of payment include PayPal, Visa, and ACH, among others.

Online Casino Offering Available

In addition to the online sportsbook product, Kindred and Mohegan Sun Pocono have an online casino option under the same app.

The online casino platform features an array of games from top software providers like Net Entertainment, IGT, and Pragmatic Play. Some of the available games include popular slot titles like Starburst, Jack Hammer, Cleopatra, Pixies of the Forest, Wheel of Fortune, and Gonzo’s Quest.

Other online casino classics like video poker, online roulette, blackjack, and baccarat are in the offing as well.

Pennsylvania Launch Marks Second US State For Kindred

Kindred Group is one of the newer names in the US sports betting and gaming market, having joined the industry five months ago.

The Malta-based online gambling operator made their debut in the regulated US industry with a mobile casino offering in New Jersey in early June this year. The launch was followed by the rollout of a Unibet-branded mobile sportsbook in September.

The operator partners with Hard Rock Atlantic City for their operations in the Garden City.

Kindred’s entry into Pennsylvania was facilitated by Mohegan Sun Pocono.

The company began its operations in The Keystone State in September with the opening of a land-based sportsbook at the Wilkes-Barre-based property.

The operator has processed $2,388,540 in sports bets and won $380,666 since it opened on Sept. 27. The launch of the Unibet mobile offering places Kindred in a better position to increase its market share in Pennsylvania and compete with other brands like FanDuel and BetRivers.
