Sevilla’s race with time is on, and the Rojoblancos have to post wins from now on to keep their La Liga status. Meanwhile, Atletico is still among the top four teams in the league, with slim chances of catching up with the title contenders.

Before Betting on Sevilla vs. Atletico Madrid

Sevilla is three points above the relegation zone but is coming off a road win against Rayo Vallecano, 1-2. The most successful team in the history of the UEFA Cup and the Europa League is trying to find the right rhythm but simply can’t deliver consistency.

But not just that. Believe it or not, Sevilla has been without a win at home for the past ten appearances, which is terrible because Pizjuan used to be one of the most hostile places in Europe several years ago. Sevilla’s record during that negative stretch is five ties and five defeats, with nine of those events seeing both teams scoring.

As for Atletico, they had their chances to interfere in the title race but didn’t use them. Now they have ten points fewer than Real, against whom they played 1-1 last weekend, leveling the score in the extra time. After that, the Mattress Makers lost in Copa del Rey, which might have killed the momentum.

Atletico’s four of the past five road trips have all ended with goals on both ends. They are much more offensive than in the past, and the results are clearly showing all this. No need to say that following the loss in the Super Cup finals and the elimination from the domestic cup, morale isn’t great, making this event even more important.

Sevilla both scores and concedes at home, and the same goes for Atletico away from Wanda Metropolitan. Therefore, the logical conclusion is both teams are scoring.
