One of the most interesting fights on the Bellator 301 fight card is Sergio Pettis vs. Patchy Mix. It’s the co-main event of the November 17 event, and the reason why it’s so great is that this is a duel between the champion (Pettis) and the interim champion (Mix).

Before Betting on the Sergio Pettis vs. Patchy Mix Bellator 301 Fight

Sergio Pettis (23-5) is a former UFC fighter who’s been fighting under the banner of Bellator MMA since 2020. He’s fought and won five fights in this promotion, three of which were Bellator Bantamweight World Championship fights.

In his most recent fight, he defended his title against legendary Brazilian fighter Patricio Pitbull. It was a hell of a fight in which Pettis triumphed after five rounds. It was a big win for Pettis, but Pitbull isn’t the greatest opponent he’s defeated so far.

During his UFC days, he beat such legends as Brandon Moreno and Joseph Benavidez. He also went the distance with Henry Cejudo but lost that bout by decision.

Now, he’s facing a fighter with a much lower reputation, but who’s put on some great performances lately. In his most recent fight – in which Patchy Mix (18-1) won the interim title – he defeated Raufeon Stots by KO. Before that, he won against Magomed Magomedov by technical submission.

Submission is this guy’s favorite method of winning, but it’s a big question of whether he stands a chance of submitting Pettis. After all, this guy has only suffered one loss by this method in his professional career. It happened back in 2014 when Pettis lost to Cacares by rear-naked choke.

The Sergio Pettis vs. Patchy Mix odds suggest the interim champ is more likely to win. However, we have faith in Pettis whose vast experience could be the crucial factor in the November 17 fight. He’s already defeated some much tougher opponents than Patchy Mix, so we wouldn’t be surprised if he managed to upset the odds in the Bellator 301 co-main event.
