Before Betting on Red Sox vs Mariners June 10

The Boston Red Sox will try to get another winning streak in the works when they visit T-Mobile Park on Friday night. Boston had come out on top in seven straight games, but fell 5-2 on Thursday as the Angels snapped a 14-game losing streak.

Boston swept a four game series against the Seattle Mariners three weeks ago at Fenway Park, with the Sunday finale featuring a walk-off grand slam from Franchy Cordero to give the Sox an 8-4 win. Boston outscored Seattle 33-18 over that previous series, but the M’s have looked better as of late going 8-4 in their last 12.

Games between these two teams are usually higher scoring but the offshore odds really haven’t taken that into account. Games have gone ‘over’ the total in 21 of the last 27 head to head meetings between Boston and the Mariners, including the last 8 in Seattle.

Rich Hill (2-3, 4.40 ERA) will try to do his part to keep this contest lower scoring as he takes the mound for Boston. The veteran left-hander has allowed 3 ER over his last two road starts compared to 10 ER in his last two at Fenway Park.

Marco Gonzales 3-6, 3.59 ERA) is up in the rotation for Seattle in a battle of Southpaws. Gonzales has very similar 3.64/3.54 home/road splits, but four of his six losses this season have come away from T-Mobile Park.

MyBookie has yet to update their odds for the Red Sox vs Mariners June 10 matchup but the rest of the offshore odds are calling this a pretty close one. Seattle has won 8 of their last 12 and the Red Sox have been victorious in 7 of their last 8. Boston’s loss to the slumping Angels may be a red flag, but that also came in a Shohei Ohtani start for LAA.

The Red Sox demoralized Seattle over four games at Fenway Park a few weeks ago – is it time for the Mariners to return the favor? Flip a coin.
