Both the Titans (5-10) and Texans (8-7) hope to get their rookie QBs back in action in week 17 as Will Levis (ankle) and C.J. Stroud (concussion) have missed time recently. These two clubs met just two weeks ago when it was Case Keenum leading the Texans to an ugly 19-16 win in Tennessee thanks to four FGs and one short 3-yard TD.

Before Betting on Week 17 Tennessee Titans vs Houston Texans

Despite losing 36-22 at home to Cleveland last week, the Texans are still in a 1st place tie with the Jaguars and Colts in the AFC South. Houston currently loses the tie breaker to both teams but they do close out at Indianapolis next week which could actually be for the division if Jacksonville continues with their 4-game losing streak.

Stroud is anxious to pick up where he left off before suffering a concussion three weeks ago against the Jets. He had thrown for 274+ yards in five straight games before getting hurt, so it will be interesting to see if some down time helped him refresh or killed his momentum.

The Titans haven’t gotten as much out of Levis as the Texans have from Stroud, but one was the #33 pick in the draft and the other was #2 and a day one starter. Levis hasn’t been bad though, throwing 8 TDs to 4 INTs and he completed 65.4% of his passes two weeks ago against the Texans.

2023 Week 17 Titans vs Houston Prediction & Pick

The big question here is if Stroud will show any lingering effects from missing the last two weeks with a concussion? The last two Tennessee losses have come by a field goal, and five straight Titans games have been decided by one score. Expect another ugly, close, game in Houston on Sunday.
