This promises to be an interesting FA Cup third round tie between the Premier League sides. The Reds were crowned winners of the FA Cup last season, as they beat Chelsea in a dramatic penalty shootout at Wembley. However, Liverpool have crashed out in four of their seven campaigns as holders of the illustrious honour, including most recently in the 2006-07 season.
Liverpool will still be looking for a response when they take to the field in the FA Cup, as they were humbled in their previous Premier League fixture by Brentford. However, being back at Anfield will certainly help their chances, as their best performances this term have come on Merseyside.
Meanwhile, the FA Cup could serve as a welcome distraction for Wolves, as they have been poor throughout the season to this point, and currently sit in the bottom three of the Premier League standings.

This is likely to be a tight FA Cup tie between the two sides, and cases can be made for both. The Wolves record against the Reds in the FA Cup is very interesting, but it remains very difficult to see past the home side edging through to the fourth round.
