The LA Lakers lead 1-0 in the West Semis against the Warriors, whom they defeated at Chase Center on Tuesday night.

Before Betting on the Lakers vs. Warriors Game 2

The Lakers had an excellent opening of the series against the Warriors. They stole a win in San Francisco and immediately put pressure on the NBA champions. They played efficient basketball, although the Warriors did make a late push to erase a double-digit minus and get back.

Anthony Davis blocked Steph Curry in the last minute, stopping the Dub Nation’s surge. AD scored 30 points, had 23 boards, and was the crucial player in the purple and gold. LBJ scored 22 with 11 boards, while D’Angelo Russell and Dennis Schroder each had 19 buckets.

The Warriors’ core – Curry, Klay, Poole – was good, scoring 20+ points each. Steph had the most, 27 points, Klay Thompson ended the night with 25, and Jordan Poole added 21. They delivered 19 threes in total, while the remaining players had two combined.

Kevon Looney had 23 boards, but he couldn’t control Davis’ scoring. Golden State woke up in the end, scoring 12 points in a row and leveling the score with less than two minutes to go. Jordan Poole would later have a chance for another tie, but his long three wasn’t on target.

We expect to see the hosts responding to this loss. They opened the series against the Kings slow too, but rolled over the rivals afterward. That’s why the champs’ prospects to win are excellent and we don’t see the Lakers triumphing two times in a row at the Chase Center.
