There is a massive heavyweight title fight taking place in Manchester this weekend, as the AO Arena hosts the WBO Interim heavyweight title showdown between Joseph Parker and Joe Joyce. The winner could put himself into a prominent position for a world title fight over the next 12 months.

Before Betting On Joseph Parker vs Joe Joyce

This should be a thrilling showdown between two extremely talented heavyweights this weekend. Joseph Parker has shown throughout his career that he has what it takes to hang with the very best in this decision, with his only two defeats coming against Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte by decision.

The New Zealand star has never been beaten by knockout, and has won 30 of the 32 professional fights that he has had. Parker comes into this fight off the back of a six-fight winning streak, with both of his previous two wins being scored by decision against Derek Chisora at the AO Arena in Manchester. The latest of those was a dominant success, and he looks back in the frame for a heavyweight title shot.

One of the most interesting factors about this fight is the fact that Joe Joyce has a staggering knockout percentage. He has won 13 of his 14 professional bouts by that method, with his only decision victory coming back in 2019 against Bryant Jennings.

His biggest career victory to date came against Daniel Dubois in November 2020, as he stopped the previously undefeated boxer in the tenth round. That was followed by very professional displays against Carlos Takam and Christian Hammer, with neither fight going past six rounds.

We will certainly need to see a slightly different performance from Joyce this weekend, as there is a good chance that this fight goes the distance. However, we expect the Brit to take a step closer to a world title fight with a victory. He is available at -185 with Pinnacle.
