The opening game of this week’s Bundesliga activities is in Dortmund, where Borussia hosts Freiburg at the sold-out Signal Iduna Park, one of the world’s biggest and most beautiful venues.

Before Betting on Dortmund vs. Freiburg

It’s been a while since Borussia lost one game, but the fans aren’t satisfied with the recent performances. The Millionaires won three of the seven recent events, adding four draws, with the note that until last week’s tie in Heidenheim, Dortmund had three triumphs in a row.

In the previous five encounters at Signal-Iduna Park, Millionaires have only managed to emerge victorious twice. The main concern for coach Edin Terzic and his staff lies in their defense, as Dortmund failed to keep a clean sheet in their last five home games. Despite the offense delivering more or less regularly, the inconsistency in the back line is an issue.

Freiburg’s recent losses to Werder Bremen and Stuttgart have dashed their hopes of reaching the elite Champions League. Not only have the Zebras lost the pace with the rivals, but their morale is certainly damaged. This is a critical part of the campaign for the team from Stade Europa Park.

When playing away from home, Freiburg has been rather mediocre. With only 10 points from 10 outings, they have managed three wins, one draw, and suffered six losses. Their offensive output has been minimal, scoring only nine times, while their defense has been porous, conceding 20 goals.

Freiburg is on the downhill these days, plus they experienced problems away from home all season long. Borussia’s biggest strength is Signal-Iduna Park, and they are exploiting that almost perfectly. The Millionaires defeated Freiburg on the road, 4-2 this year, so repeating a triumph at home is highly realistic.
