This was the moment all the soccer fans have been waiting for. Bundesliga started today, and it seems that the German clubs continued where they left off. Lots of goals, interesting matches, intense matchups all over the country.

Dortmund Demolishes Schalke in the Ruhr Derby

In the derby of the round, played at Signal Iduna Park, Borussia Dortmund rolled over their big rival, Schalke 04. The final result was 4-0, and the guy who needs to be credited the most is Raphael Guerreiro, who netted twice and was by far the best player on the pitch.

Apart from him, teenage sensation Erling Haaland scored one goal as well as Thorgan Hazard, the brother of much more popular Eden.

This was the 10th win at home for the Millionaires since the start of the campaign, and the fourth in the previous five in which they scored at least four times. They are the most attractive host to watch in the entire Bundesliga.

The game started slowly, but as time progressed, the hosts took over the initiative. The last 15 minutes of the first half passed in their domination and it is no wonder why they managed to beat Markus Schubert twice.

With this victory, Dortmund reached Bayern Munich, who tops the table to just one point, with the note that the Bavarians have a game in hand as they meet Union Berlin on the road tomorrow.

Moench Trashes Eintracht in Frankfurt

Other Borussia, only Moenchengladbach, also had a pleasant afternoon. In the closing contest of the day, they would dismantle Eintracht Frankfurt with 1-3 on the road, posting one highly confident performance.

Alassane Plea, Marcus Thuram and Ramy Bensebaini from the penalty put their names on the scoresheet for the guests, while Andre Silva saved the honor of the Eagles.

We can say that Moench played a perfect game, opening the same with two early goals. Plea shocked the hosts with under a minuted since the start, while Tiram doubled the lead six minutes later. After that, it was all just a routine for the guests who are near the Champions League now.

They would jump over RB Leipzig who played just 1-1 at home with Freiburg, practically eliminating themselves from the race for the title. It was another disappointment for Bulls’ fans who haven’t seen their team playing a good game in Bundesliga for a long time. Even before the pause, RB was struggling badly and was slipping on the standings.

In other matches, Hoffenheim swallowed a bitter pill at home, with Hertha Berlin taking all three points. The guests from Berlin scored three times in the span of 14 minutes in the second half, knocking out the hosts.

Fortuna Dusseldorf and Paderborn played a goalless game, which was, in fact, the only one like that this Saturday.

Wolfsburg defeated Augsburg on the road, with a goal in the last minute of the game, with Daniel Ginczek delivering the hit, which brought all three points for the Wolves. It was an intense game in which Augsburg had its chance to win also, but failed to utilize the same.

Apart from Union and Bayern, 1. FC Koln and 1. FSV Mainz are meeting on Sunday.
