Brighton and Hove Albion suffered a nasty loss on the road in Rome, and they came back to Amex to face another challenge with the wounded Nottingham Forest coming to town. The guests are in a critical position, having to stay unbeaten; otherwise, things will be problematic.

Before Betting on Brighton vs. Nottingham Forest

Times are tough for the Seagulls, who have three losses in a row. But that’s not everything. They didn’t score a single goal, allowing eight during that stretch. We saw them suffer an elimination from the FA Cup to Wolves and then lose 4-0 in Italy against Roma. So, unless a miracle happens, they are out of two competitions.

All those three games were on the road, and the Seagulls are returning home now, where they play much better football. This unit didn’t lose in the previous 12 appearances at the Amex Stadium, recording six triumphs and ties.

Forest is near the relegation zone, having only four points more than Luton but with a game more played. So this is a reason for alarm at City Ground. The form is declining, and only two wins in the last ten games across all competitions are proof of that.

They, too, have three consecutive defeats, in the past two not scoring a goal, though, against Liverpool and Manchester United, against whom Nottingham didn’t deserve to lose.

The Seagulls have no options but to attack, and neither does Nottingham. In general, both of these units prefer to play open and attacking football rather than to lay back and wait, which is why betting on both teams netting should be profitable. The respective defenses are far weaker than the attacks, who should be able to score at least once even though they aren’t in some good shape.
