The second round of Premier League fixtures in the 2022-23 campaign take place this weekend, and one side that will be hoping for better is Manchester United. The Red Devils lost on the opening day of the campaign, which was hardly the ideal start that Erik ten Hag was looking for.

Before Betting On Brentford vs Manchester United

Manchester United’s first away clash of the 2022-23 season comes at Brentford, as the Red Devils will be looking to rediscover their form on the road that saw them go unbeaten over a 12-month period. It will also be a huge fixture for Erik ten Hag, as United look to build momentum ahead of their upcoming fixture against Liverpool.

United’s season couldn’t have gotten off to a worse start against Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend, as they found themselves 2-0 down at half time. The crowd at Old Trafford was in amazement, as the same mistakes from last season were evident throughout. United still need to strengthen in the middle of the park, but it remains unlikely that Frenkie de Jong will be answering the call from the Red Devils.

Brentford’s home stadium will be bouncing on Saturday, as they play their first home game of the 2022-23 season. The Bees enjoyed a fine debut season in the Premier League last term, and they showed excellent fighting qualities to come back from 2-0 down in their opening game of the season against Leicester City last time out. Ivan Toney and Josh Dasilva scored the goals for Brentford, as they salvaged a draw at the King Power Stadium.

This is actually a huge game for Manchester United, as they will need a win before a testing run of fixtures. We expect them to crawl towards a first three points of the season, and the Red Devils are currently best priced at +105 with BetUS.
