The F1 action continues this weekend, as the Brazilian Grand Prix is the third straight race that will be held in the Americas in successive weeks. All eyes will be on the battle for second spot in the Drivers’ Standings, with Sergio Perez looking to bounce back from a disappointing home race in Mexico.

Before Betting On Brazilian Grand Prix

There are few more exciting races on the F1 schedule than the Brazilian Grand Prix, with Interlagos in Sao Paulo hosting the competitive race. This race was first staged in 1972, and it has been staged at Autodromo Jose Carlos pace since 1990. McLaren have an excellent record in the race, having accumulated a stunning 12 race wins throughout history.

The drivers will complete 71 laps of the 4.309km track to make up the 309.879 race distance on Sunday. Mercedes have shown excellent quality in this race over recent history, as George Russell gave the team a third win in four editions in 2022. They will likely have an excellent chance once again this weekend, with Lewis Hamilton looking for his first win since 2021.

Max Verstappen landed a fourth straight win in Mexico last weekend, as he finished well over ten seconds clear of Hamilton, with Charles Leclerc finishing a distant third. However, there will be pressure on Sergio Perez this weekend, as the Mexican crashed out on lap one of his home race last Sunday.

Perez now holds just a 20-point advantage over Hamilton in the race for second in the Drivers’ Standings, and this weekend could be pivotal for the Mexican’s chances of keeping his seat at the Constructors’ champions next season. McLaren continued their progression, with Lando Norris coming back from 17th to finish fifth. A strong qualifying session could leave the team in a solid position to challenge for a podium once again on Sunday.
