Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat have developed a tough rivalry over the recent decade and more. The two units are constantly in the playoffs and have appeared in the previous two NBA Finals. Tonight, they clash in Florida in one of two NBA games on the schedule.

Before Betting on the Boston Celtics vs. Miami Heat

The Celtics won four of the past five games, yet they’ve all been at home. The sole loss was against the Lakers, while the wins were recorded against the Pacers, Grizzlies, Hawks, and the Wizards. Boston had to dig deep against Washington to earn a win, 133-129, because the guests from DC gave their best shot.

Still, that wasn’t enough because Tatum and Porzingis combined for 69 points, Tatum having 35 and Porzingis one fewer. Both had double-doubles, with the US star grabbing 10 boards and the Latvian 11. Jrue Holiday ended the night with 20 points and Jaylen Brown with 18.

Miami is also 4-1 in the last five appearances. They beat the Kings at home and the Wizards on the road, before losing to the Clippers and defeating the Magic and the Spurs, all in Florida. Erik Spoelstra’s unit is 28-24 now and needs to speed up to improve its position in the East.

Everything is much easier since Jimmy Butler came back, because his contribution on both ends of the court is massive. He has 21.4 points per game, with 5.5 boards and 4.6 assists. We aren’t going to mention his defense. He wasn’t very inspired against the Cs this year, averaging only 15.5 buckets in two meetings, but now has a motive to change that.

We all know Miami’s defense at home. Plus, when these two teams clash, it’s usually a bit more defensive-minded because of the rivalry, the tension, and the context of the game. So, we are going with under 220.5 buckets.
