There is competitive NHL action to look ahead to on Friday, as the Chicago Blackhawks travel to Minnesota to take on the Wild. It should be an exciting game in prospect, but can the Blackhawks get back on track after losing their previous five?

Before Betting On Blackhawks vs Wild

This is very much a case of a fixture between two sides in contrasting form. The Minnesota Wild come into this game in good confidence, as they sit third in the Central Division after going 16-11-2 this term. Their recent form has also been very solid, as they have picked up seven wins from their previous ten games. In fact, no team in the Central Division has won more games over the same period of time.

The Wild come into this fixture looking to record a fourth straight victory in the NHL, as they have claimed victories in their last three. They were in excellent form in their previous fixture, as they picked up a 4-1 home success against the Detroit Red Wings. Minnesota scored at least once in all three periods, with Frederick Gaudreau scoring twice in that success.

However, it has been very much the opposite story for the Chicago Blackhawks this season. They currently sit bottom of the Central Division, as they have picked up just seven wins from 28 games this season. They have been beaten on 17 occasions in regulation time, and have already allowed the second-most goals in the Central Division.

Chicago comes into this fixture after losing their previous five games in the NHL, with all losses coming in regulation time. Their most recent loss was inflicted against the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday evening, as they were beaten 4-1 by the Western Conference leaders. Something will need to change for the Blackhawks if they are to end the season on a positive note this term.

This is another testing fixture for the Blackhawks this weekend, as they look to finally end their winless run. However, we struggle to see past the Wild getting the victory that they need to continue their excellent run of form.
