Benfica is expected to have an easy task against Club Brugge in the Champions League Round of 16 rematch in Lisbon.

Before betting on Benfica vs. Club Brugge

The Eagles have four wins in a row, in three protecting their net. Their last win was against Famalicao on Friday night, 2-0. During these 90 minutes, the Eagles showed composure and confidence, looking ready to take on the Belgian champs.

Over the past 10 events, Benfica has had eight victories, one draw and a single loss, which was against Sevilla in the Champions League group stage, though that one didn’t harm the Eagles’ position.

Club Brugge was an undisputed ruler of Belgian football for the last several years, and that changed this season. We saw them losing pace during the 2021/2022 campaign, and now, Brugge looks pretty vulnerable.

With two wins in the preceding 10 contests, Scott Parker’s crew is no longer in the title race, having 20 points fewer than Genk. They have allowed at least two goals in three of the last four away games, losing the latest one, in Oostende, 3-0, this Friday.

Benfica is the absolute favorite, and even though they have a 2-0 lead from the first leg, anything but their confident victory would be a massive surprise here.
