Aston Villa hosts Manchester United, looking to bounce back after a FA Cup loss to Chelsea. They are also motivated to beat United because of a painful defeat at Trafford several weeks ago.

Before Betting on Aston Villa vs. Manchester United

The Villains are struggling to find the right form these days, with them winning just once in the past five matches. Overall, Emery’s team has four triumphs in the previous 10 events, which isn’t good at all. The latest failure was this Wednesday at home to Chelsea, 1-3 in the FA Cup.

What worries Aston Villa’s fans is the fact that their favorites lost for the second time in a row at home, with the same result. The fatigue is present, and we can already see that the team oscillates, particularly the offense, which failed to score on a couple of occasions recently or simply underachieved.

As for United, their form is on the rise, winning five of the previous seven events while posting a loss in Nottingham and a tie at home against Tottenham. In six of those events, United netted at least twice, usually more. For instance, we’ve seen them score 10 goals in the previous three meetings.

This will be a very important meeting for United, who needs to keep up with the positive streak, otherwise, they could again lose the pace with the top teams and jeopardize the quest for the UEFA Champions League spot. After all, Villa is the direct rival for that fourth place in the standings.

The Villains have been very good at home this year, not counting in the latest pair of contests. Their meetings at Villa Park are efficient, and so are United’s on the road, so the right pick here would be over 2.5 goals.
