The Sun look to bounce back following their high-scoring loss to Toronto
Connecticut's season has been tough as the team dropped eight of its first 10 games. Unfortunately, things have gotten even worse, though, thanks to a seven-game losing streak. This stretch includes a 101-97 loss to the Toronto Tempo on Friday night.

The Sun appeared to be headed toward their third win of the season, leading by 10 points entering the fourth quarter. However, the cushion was not large enough, as Toronto produced a 37-23 scoring edge in the game's final 10 minutes, flipping a double-digit deficit into a four-point win.
Kennedy Burke led the team's scoring attack with 18 points off the bench. Brittney Griner finished with 16 points and eight boards on 7-of-11 shooting from the field. Leila Lacan also scored 16 points and handed out three assists. Connecticut shot well overall (46 percent) but struggled from deep โ just 6-for-22 โ limiting its ability to keep pace in this high-scoring affair.
Chicago aims to rebound from last-second loss to the Wings
After posting a five-point win over Connecticut two weeks ago, the Sky are winless in their last five outings. Their latest setback was a 93-92 loss to the Dallas Wings on Saturday night.
Leading 71-57 through three quarters, Chicago seemed poised to pull off the upset. But the Wings scored a season-high 36 points in the final frame to rally from a 14-point deficit.
Kamilla Cardoso certainly did her part, scoring a team-high 26 points along with nine rebounds and three assists on an efficient 10-for-13 effort from the floor. Rookie Sydney Taylor added 18, and Skylar Diggins contributed 14 points and six assists, steadying the backcourt with her veteran presence.
The Sky look to end their five-game skid against an opponent that has just two wins on its resume.
Sun vs Sky WNBA Pick
Connecticut enters this battle as a 3.5-point underdog. Here's a look at what you need to know for both teams ahead of this contest.
- The Sun are 0-7 (SU) in their previous seven games.
- Connecticut is 3-4 ATS in its last seven outings.
- The Sky are 1-6 (SU) in their previous seven contests.
- Chicago is 4-3 ATS in its last seven matchups.
The Sun are not a good home team, as their 2-8 record across the last 10 games indicates. Meanwhile, Chicago hasn't flourished on the road, either, winning only three of its last 10 away from home. In a battle between two teams that are desperate for a win, the Sky have the slight edge in this interconference showdown.
