The Lynx will attempt to build on a tough win over Golden State

After a narrow three-point loss to the Las Vegas Aces, Minnesota has reeled off three straight wins. In their last outing, they defeated the Golden State Valkyries 81-75.

The Lynx led by a point through three quarters before Olivia Miles' three-point play gave Minnesota a 71-64 advantage. And although the teams traded baskets down the stretch, the Lynx prevailed, outscoring Golden State 18-13 in the final frame.

Nia Coffey delivered a solid performance, finishing with 22 points and six rebounds on 7-of-11 shooting from the field. Courtney Williams chipped in with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists.

Minnesota controlled the interior, winning the rebounding battle 42-38 and posting a 38-22 advantage in paint points. The Lynx put on a defensive clinic, holding Golden State to 35 percent shooting overall and 30 percent from deep.

Washington aims to stay hot after upending the Liberty

The Mystics are having one of their best stretches of the season, securing three wins in their last four outings. This includes an 86-83 victory against the New York Liberty on Friday night.

Despite its mediocre record, Washington proved to be a worthy opponent in this nip-and-tuck battle. Trailing 77-71 midway through the fourth quarter, the Mystics ripped off a 10-2 run to take an 81-79 lead.

With the game tied at 83, Kiki Iriafen converted a layup to put the Mystics back in front. On the ensuing possession, Breanna Stewart was off the mark on a contested jumper, and Iriafen split a pair of free throws, securing an unlikely win for Washington.

Iriafen was one of four starters in double figures. She scored a team-high 20 points and collected six rebounds. Sonia Citron had an all-around great outing as well, posting 16 points, eight assists, and six rebounds.

On the heels of this unlikely win, Washington travels to Minnesota, seeking its third straight win for the first time this season.

Lynx vs Mystics WNBA Pick

Thanks in part to a three-game win streak, Minnesota enters this battle as a 14-point favorite. Here's a look at what you need to know for both teams ahead of this contest.

  • The Lynx are 11-1 (SU) in their previous 12 games.
  • Minnesota is 8-1 ATS in its last nine outings.
  • The Mystics are 7-17 (SU) in their previous 24 contests.
  • Washington is 4-4 ATS in its last eight matchups.

The Lynx have dominated this series, winning eight of the previous 10 meetings. Additionally, Minnesota owns the league's top-rated offense and defense. Given those trends, look for the Lynx to prevail here, although the margin of victory may be smaller than the predicted spread.
