After producing two wins in its first three games, Washington had lost three of its last four. In the team's recent outing, it dropped a 92-87 decision to the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday.

The Mystics proved to be a formidable opponent, hanging around until the very end. Shakira Austin knocked down two free throws to tie the game at 81 with 2:07 left to play. But a three-pointer from Nneka Ogwumike and Erica Wheeler scoring eight points in the final 70 seconds, propelled the road team to a five-point win.
Austin and Sonia Citron shouldered most of the scoring load. Austin finished with a team-high 25 points and 10 rebounds, going 8-for-10 from the floor and a perfect 9-of-9 from the charity stripe. Citron added 21 points and eight assists on 70 percent shooting.
Chicago started the season on a positive note, winning three of its first four games. Since the hot start, though, the team has dropped four straight, including a 79-58 loss to the Minnesota Lynx.
The Sky were within striking distance early, and trailed by just three points at the break. The second half was altogether different, as Minnesota outscored Chicago 46-28, including a 31-16 edge in the third quarter.
Only two players tallied double-digit scoring totals for the home team. Kamilla Cardoso posted 12 points and 13 rebounds. Skylar Diggins also finished with 12 points, along with five rebounds and three assists. Chicago shot 29 percent overall and just 17 percent from deep.
Washington enters this Eastern Conference tilt as a 1.5-point favorite. Here's a look at what you need to know for both teams ahead of this contest.
The Mystics have won four of the previous five meetings in this series, and Chicago has dropped four of its last five road games against Washington. With that in mind, backing the home team is the smart play here.
