The Wings ride historic Shepard triple-double into Monday night

Dallas dropped two of its first three games. Since that poor start, the team has come on strong, winning four of its last five games. This stretch includes a 95-87 victory against the defending champion Las Vegas Aces on Thursday.

Dallas lost all five games against the Aces last season and appeared to be headed toward a sixth straight defeat, trailing by eight at the break. However, the Wings responded with an improved effort at both ends of the floor, propelling them to a 50-34 scoring edge in the second half en route to an unlikely eight-point win.

Jessica Shepard was poetry in motion, finishing with 22 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists on 8-of-13 shooting from the field. Azzi Fudd also scored 22 points, while Paige Bueckers contributed 20 points, six assists, and three rebounds.

Seattle looks to halt two-game losing streak

After posting back-to-back wins against Connecticut and Washington, the Storm enter this showdown amid a two-game skid. Their latest setback was a 93-72 defeat at the hands of the Toronto Tempo on Saturday.

Seattle kept it close early and held a one-point advantage at halftime. Unfortunately, the road team was unable to sustain its early momentum, as it was outscored 56-36 over the final 20 minutes.

Only two players reached double figures for the Storm. Natisha Hiedeman led the way with 18 points and seven assists. Jordan Horston scored 15 points and grabbed four rebounds. Seattle shot 7-for-27 from deep (26 percent) and committed 18 turnovers, leading to 23 points for Toronto.

Wings vs Storm WNBA Pick

Dallas enters this conference tilt as an 11.5-point favorite. Here's a look at what you need to know for both teams ahead of this contest.

  • The Wings are 4-1 (SU) in their previous five games.
  • Dallas is 1-4 ATS in its last five outings.
  • The Storm are 2-3 (SU) in their previous five contests.
  • Seattle is 2-3 ATS in its last five matchups.

The Wings have dropped four of the previous five meetings in this series, and they are 1-4 in their last five home games against Seattle. Despite the trends, Dallas is the safe play here based on each team's last outing, although the margin of victory will be less than the predicted spread.
