The Mercury look to regroup after their fifth straight loss
Phoenix split its first four games of the season. Things have gone south a bit since then, with the team dropping each of its last five games. This includes a 75-68 loss to the New York Liberty on Friday.

The Mercury pulled within 71-65 with 46 seconds remaining following a three-pointer from Monique Akoa Makani. Then, Phoenix had a chance to tie the game after forcing a turnover on the ensuing possession. But DeWanna Bonner's 3-point attempt was off the mark, and New York secured the win from the free-throw line.
Kahleah Copper paced the offense with 16 points, going just 4-for-16 from the field. Alyssa contributed 15 points, eight assists, and three rebounds. Phoenix shot 34 percent overall and converted only six of its 24 attempts from beyond the arc.
Minnesota aims to keep rolling following a dominant win over the Sky
Like its opponent, the Lynx were also 2-2 across their first four games. However, they are undefeated in their last four outings. The team's latest triumph was a 79-58 victory over the Chicago Sky.
Minnesota had a difficult time shaking the Sky early, and led by a slim 33-30 margin at intermission. The narrative was vastly different after that, with the Lynx outscoring Chicago 31-16 in the third, pushing their advantage to 18 points heading into the final frame.
Four players reached double figures, with Nia Coffey leading the charge. She scored a team-high 20 points and snagged eight rebounds, delivering one of her best performances in several seasons. Rookie guard Olivia Miles registered 17 points, six boards, and six assists, with eight points coming in the game-changing third quarter.
