The second of the three European finals is set for May 27, as Crystal Palace and Rayo Vallecano collide in the Europa Conference League final.
Oliver Glasner will be aiming to sign off with Palace by delivering a second major honor in as many seasons. However, Ray Vallecano shouldn’t be overlooked after upsetting the odds throughout the competition.

Oliver Glasner will go down as one of the best managers in Crystal Palace history after delivering a first FA Cup success last term. However, his reputation could reach new heights on Wednesday if he is able to guide the Eagles to a first major European honor.
Palace have been the long-time favorites to win the competition, and they have only looked stronger as the tournament has progressed. Palace showed their attacking threat in the previous round, recording a 5-2 aggregate win against Shakhtar Donetsk. Ismaila Sarr has been the team’s standout player in the Conference League, scoring nine goals in 14 appearances.

It has been another season to remember for Inigo Perez’s Rayo Vallecano. The team finished eighth in the La Liga standings, and they could yet end the campaign with a first ever major honor.
Vallecano upset the odds in the previous round, as they beat French side Strasbourg 2-0 on aggregate. Plenty of confidence can also be taken from their form at the end of the season, winning each of their last two fixtures in La Liga, and avoiding defeat in their last nine in all competitions.

This is a historic night for both Crystal Palace and Rayo Vallecano, with both clubs chasing their first-ever European success. However, the Eagles should have too much quality across the field, and many of their stars will be well-rested after being handed the weekend off.
