Golden State won its first two games of the 2026 campaign. Since the hot start, the team has gone 1-2 across its last three games. This includes a 90-82 loss to the Indiana Fever on Friday.

Although the Valkyries led by seven at the break, the Fever rallied to take a 10-point lead with 2:30 left to play in regulation. Golden State fought valiantly, cutting the deficit to four points. But Indiana secured the win with clutch shooting from the charity stripe.
Tiffany Hayes led four double-digit scorers with 19 points, connecting on seven of her 13 shot attempts. Kaitlyn Chen added 18, going 7-for-11 from the field. The bench, which has been a strength this season, accounted for 43 of the team's 82 points.
The Sun have struggled this season, dropping five of their first six games. This stretch includes a 77-59 loss to the Seattle Storm on May 22.
Connecticut held a 21-19 lead after the first quarter. Unfortunately, the road team produced just seven points in the second period and managed only 11 field goals over the final three quarters.
With Brittney Griner out nursing a rib injury, the offense struggled mightily, shooting 37 percent overall and a pedestrian 24 percent from 3-point territory. Diamond Miller scored a team-high 13 points and collected three rebounds. Aaliyah Edwards contributed 10 points and seven rebounds.
