Event Preview
All eyes will be back on the NASCAR Cup Series regular season this weekend, as Amazon Prime broadcasts live action for the first time in 2026. The Coca-Cola 600 is the second Crown Jewel race of the campaign, with the huge date in the diary for motorsport fans also including the Indianapolis 500 and the Canadian Grand Prix.
Denny Hamlin will likely be very confident ahead of this weekend’s race following his victory in last weekend’s All-Star Race. Hamlin’s performances on track have been reliable throughout the campaign, having achieved top-ten finishes in four of the previous six rounds.
Tyler Reddick continues to lead the Drivers’ Championship at this early stage, and he has finished in the top five in the last two rounds. Reddick will be looking for his sixth win of 2026 this weekend.
Chase Elliott has also been very consistent in recent weeks, winning the Wurth 400 and since finishing 24th in the Go Bowling at The Glen. Ty Gibbs is also a winner this season, and has shown a return to form after finishing third in the Go Bowling at the Glen. Kyle Larson will be aiming to respond after finishing outside of the top 20 in the last three rounds.
Coca-Cola 600 Picks
Chris Buescher could be an interesting play this weekend. The American has finished in the top five in two of the last two rounds, and has achieved top ten finishes in six races this term. His consistency could be rewarded with a first race win of 2026 on Sunday.
