The NFL postseason is here! Wild Card Week action continues on Sunday. Our Broncos vs Bills prediction features a clash between a rookie QB and a veteran aiming to make their first Super Bowl.

Broncos Capping Off Bounce Back Season

After the “Let’s Ride” era came to a tumultuous close at the end of last season, the Broncos appeared to be in a terrible place as a franchise. They traded away a significant chunk of draft capital for Russell Wilson and then compounded that mistake by giving him a massive extension.

Surprisingly, rookie QB Bo Nix has been far more competitive in Denver than Wilson was. He’s done an excellent job of capitalizing on Denver’s lack of top-tier weapons.

Denver’s mistake of going all-in on Wilson may be in the rearview mirror now, but it still affects them as a franchise. They saved the team with their selection of Nix, but remain with needs across the board with little assets to fill those holes.

This puts even more pressure on Nix, who faces an uphill battle in this game against Buffalo. Fortunately, the Broncos once again have a capable defense. Their ability to slow down the Bills on offense will be key in this game.

Bills Seek to End Super Bowl Drought

The Bills enter this game with a perfect 8-0 record at home. The only team they could potentially face on the road is the Chiefs, which is likely the matchup weighing the heaviest on Josh Allen’s mind. He hasn’t been able to get the best of Patrick Mahomes in the playoffs recently, which has prevented Buffalo from ending their Super Bowl drought. Despite losing some offensive assets such as WR Stefon Diggs, Allen played at an MVP-level once again. His next postseason test is the Broncos.

Allen’s ability as a dual threat QB will be a big factor for the Bills. James Cook has also emerged as a top running back, giving Buffalo’s offense an additional weapon that they didn’t have in years past.

The combination of Josh Allen, a strong rushing attack, a great defense, and home-field advantage will make the Bills very difficult to eliminate, especially in this game. Cook rushed for over 1,000 yards and a league-leading 16 TDs this season.

Broncos vs Bills Prediction: Buffalo Steamrolls Denver

Both of these teams have capable defenses, which should make this a low-scoring game. While Denver is likely to force a few punts early on, they may find themselves worn down by Buffalo’s dual-threat attack on offense.

Ultimately, Bo Nix will be at a disadvantage against a more experienced Josh Allen, who also has the benefit of a more stacked roster. Expect the Bills to clamp down on defense and win this one by double digits.
