New York has reeled off eight consecutive wins following a 3-4 start. This stretch includes a 96-95 win over the Chicago Sky on Wednesday night.

Despite its 4-10 record, Chicago remained in striking distance and led by a point in the game's waning moments. However, Sabrina Ionescu hit the game-winning layup, propelling the Liberty to a perfect Commissioner's Cup record against the East.
Five players reached double figures for the road team. Jonquel Jones led the way with 19 points, eight rebounds, and three assists. Breanna Stewart added 17 points and six boards. Satou Sabally spearheaded the second unit with 17 points on eight 8-of-11 shooting from the field.
Following back-to-back losses against Atlanta and Indiana, the Mystics have won two of their last three games. In their last outing, they defeated the Connecticut Sun 88-81.
Washington built a seven‑point halftime lead before Connecticut rallied to tie the game at 70 with 5:46 remaining. Lauren Betts steadied the Mystics with a pair of free throws on the next possession, giving Washington the lead for good.
Sonia Citron powered the offense with 26 points, 12 rebounds, and four assists, leading four Mystics in double figures. Michaela Onyenwere added 22 points on 8‑for‑12 shooting, helping Washington finish at 47 percent from the field and 39 percent from beyond the arc.
The Mystics will need a similarly sharp performance to keep pace with a red‑hot Liberty squad that is clicking on all cylinders.
