Tempo Looking to Bounce Back
The Tempo lost the battle of the expansion teams on Saturday, getting blown out at home by Portland. It wasn't a great sign for a team that opted for more experienced players now in an effort to be competitive at the potential expense of the future. Still, the season is long ways from over and the Tempo showed signs of fatigue from playing several games last week. They'll aim to get back on track in this game against the Sky.
Sky Struggling Without Rickea Jackson
Chicago has now lost two games in a row after a hot start to the season. The absence of Rickea Jackson has been notable since she suffered a season-ending injury. The Sky should benefit from the return of Azura Stevens, who played just 16 minutes in her season debut against the Lynx. As she ramps back up, expect the Sky to be more competitive again. They'll be looking to get back above .500 in this game against the Tempo.
Tempo vs Sky WNBA Pick
Both the Tempo and Sky have lost two games in a row, raising the stakes for this matchup as they both seek to avoid a 3-game losing streak. Toronto got blown out in their two most recent games, but was impressive in the matchups earlier in the week. If fatigue really was the main factor in those losses, the Tempo are more likely to bounce back than a Chicago team that hasn't quite yet figured out how to fill Rickea Jackson's shoes.
