The dream of Champions League soccer remains alive at Bournemouth following Aston Villa’s win in the Europa League final. A win on the final day for the Cherries against Nottingham Forest will secure sixth spot.
The Tricky Trees will be hopeful of ending their campaign on a positive note after maintaining their Premier League status for 2026-27.

For a long time, it seemed as though Nottingham Forest’s fight to stay in the Premier League would have gone down to the final day.
However, an excellent unbeaten run under Vitor Pereira has guided them clear of the drop zone, and they have suffered just a single defeat in the last nine rounds of Premier League matches. Morgan Gibbs-White has been the standout player for Forest this season, registering ten goal involvements in his last nine EPL appearances.

Bournemouth have already made club history this season after achieving European qualification. However, a win for the Cherries, coupled with defeat for Aston Villa and a victory for Liverpool, will mean that sixth spot will be enough to play in next season’s Champions League.
Andoni Iraola will depart the club after this weekend, and Bournemouth brings excellent form into this round after avoiding defeat in their last 17. It is worth noting that nine matches over that period have ended in draws, while 17 of their fixtures have been ties this term, which is the joint-most of any team in a 38-game season.

Bournemouth have an excellent head-to-head record against the Tricky Trees in the Premier League, avoiding defeat in all seven clashes. The Cherries look like the standout value to extend their unbeaten run, and potentially make history by achieving Champions League qualification.
