  • Everton have failed to win in their last five games

Must-Not-Lose Clash Set for North London

Tottenham may have thought that their week couldn’t get any worse after watching Arsenal win the Premier League title, but results on Sunday could send Tottenham into the second tier. Spurs suffered a damaging 2-1 defeat at Chelsea on Tuesday, ending their three-game unbeaten run.

However, unwanted history is still set to be made, as Spurs could finish 17th in consecutive campaigns for the first time since 1915. Playing this match at home also isn’t ideal, as Spurs are winless in their last ten at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Toffees Aiming to End Winless Run

Everton’s chase of European qualification looks set to come up short this season after enduring a disappointing end to the campaign. David Moyes’ side have failed to win in their last six, marking their longest winless run since April 2024.

However, Everton have led in each of their last three fixtures, and they could fail to win four matches despite taking the lead for the first time since October 1999. Their realistic hopes of a European finish ended last weekend following a damaging 3-1 home loss against Sunderland.

Possible Lineup
(4-2-3-1) Pickford (GK); O’Brien, Tarkowski, Keane, Mykolenko; Garner, Gueye; Rohl, Dewsbury-Hall, Ndiaye; Beto

Tottenham vs. Everton Picks

A nervy afternoon is expected on Sunday, as Tottenham bid to avoid relegation to the second tier. Everton’s poor recent form will give them a strong chance of getting a rare home win, and it is worth noting that the Toffees have won just one of their last 16 league away matches against Spurs.
