Minnesota capitalized on Victor Wembanyama's early ejection to tie the series in Game 4. Unfortunately, the team suffered a 126-97 setback in Game 5 and now needs a win at home to extend its season.

The Timberwolves kept it close early, trailing by just four points after the opening stanza. However, San Antonio won the scoring battle in every quarter, including a 35-24 edge in the final frame en route to an easy win.
Five players reached double figures for Minnesota. Anthony Edwards put up 20 points on 6-of-13 shooting from the field. Julius Randle and Jaden McDaniels contributed 17 points each and combined for 16 rebounds.
During their postseason run, the Spurs have responded well after losses. And their 29-point victory in Game 5 was a testament to that fact.
San Antonio bought its "A" game, holding Minnesota to 39 percent shooting overall and 27 percent from 3-point range. The Spurs won the rebounding battle by a 50-42 margin. Lastly, the home team enjoyed a decisive 68-38 edge in the paint.
Wembanyama was a force at both ends of the floor, finishing with 27 points, 17 rebounds, five assists, and three blocks. De'Aaron Fox scored 18 points, handed out five assists, and collected four rebounds.

The Timberwolves are 9-6 in the previous 15 meetings in this series, and boast an 8-2 mark in their last 10 home games against San Antonio. Although the final margin won't be what we witnessed in Game 5, look for the Spurs to win and advance.
