Jazz vs Clippers Preview

  • The Utah Jazz and the LA Clippers clash in Game 4 of the West semifinals.
  • The Jazzers have a 2-1 lead at the moment.
  • Clippers are trying to even the series following an excellent Game 3, and a 132-106 victory.

There is no more time for waiting for the LA Clippers, who need to step up and hit back at Utah Jazz. This might be the critical part of the season for this team, and losing Monday’s game would mean that they pretty much ended their run.

Utah’s fans felt relieved after hearing the news that Donovan Mitchell’s ankle is ok after a slight injury two days ago. Spida will lead the Jazzers in Game 4, but the guests will once again appear without Mike Conley.

Bogdanovic and Clarkson to Bounce Back

Bojan Bogdanovic and Jordan Clarkson had 23 points combined in Game 3, which is pretty much the figure one of them usually delivers. Them two had a poor game, having made seven of their 26 field goal attempts.

Bogi and the reigning NBA Sixth Man of the Year have an enormous impact on the game, with their characteristics. Bogdanovic to shoot threes and stretch the defense, while Clarkson to speed up the second unit and bring the impulse with the starters on the bench.

Clarkson is the second scorer of the Jazzers in the playoffs, with 18.6 points; Bogdanovic adds 16.9. What increases their value right now is the fact that Mike Conley won’t play, and the starting point guard is one very important piece in Utah’s machinery.

Game 3 as a Guideline

Paul George and Kawhi Leonard played extremely well, combining for 65 points, and that was a massive plus for the Clips. With these two guys in the zone, everything is much easier.

But what made the difference here are Reggie Jackson and Nicola Batum with their 17 points each. Them two combined for nine threes in 12 attempts, which hurt the Jazz very much, and created a space for Kawhi to attack the rim. When we add that George scored six threes, you can picture how LAC ran its offense.

Just to add that Kawhi dropped 34 points and George 31. The Claw had 12 boards as well.

Jazz vs Clippers Head to Head

Utah won Game 1 of the series, 112-109. The second event saw the Jazzers winning, 117-111, and the latest brought the Clippers’ first win in the series, 132-106. When we watch the regular part of the campaign, Utah had two and LAC one triumph.

Jazz vs Clippers Preview and Pick

The Clippers showed that they have the solution for Utah and their high-scoring offense. And not only that, Turon Lue and his staff made a perfect gameplan for Game 3, exposing all the weaknesses of the guests’ defense. Of course, a solid shooting from downtown was something that helped LAC establish domination in this event, but overall, they looked far better than Utah. That is the reason why we believe in the hosts’ triumph in Game 4.
