The Wings aim to regroup following their recent loss to the Valkyries

The Wings opened the game strong, going 11-for-17 in the first quarter, resulting in a 26-17 lead. But the momentum flipped in the second quarter, as Dallas was 2-for-15 from the field and fell behind 44-33 at the break. The teams played to a 47–47 stalemate in the second half, but the Valkyries ultimately pulled away late, using a 27–18 scoring edge in the final quarter to seal the win.
Arike Ogunbowale was one of four players in double figures, leading the way with 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field. Paige Bueckers added 15 points and eight rebounds. Dallas returns home hoping to deliver a complete performance against an inferior opponent.
Chicago aims to bounce back after a one-point loss to New York
Since posting a five-point win against Connecticut, the Sky are winless in their last four games. This includes a 96-95 loss to the New York Liberty on Wednesday night.
Chicago held its own early on, racing out to a 32-27 lead after the first quarter. But this duel turned into a back-and-forth battle, featuring 15 lead changes and 11 ties. The Sky were up by a point and needed one last defensive stop to pull off the upset. Unfortunately, that never came to fruition, as Sabrina Ionescu hit the game-winning layup to seal the win for New York.
The Sky's offense featured a balanced attack in which five players reached double figures. Sydney Taylor lit up New York's defense with 24 points, hitting four of her seven attempts from distance. Rookie Gabriela Jaquez excelled in her first WNBA start, finishing with 22 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Wings vs Sky WNBA Pick
Despite coming off a double-digit loss, Dallas enters this encounter as a 9.5-point favorite. Here's a look at what you need to know for both teams ahead of this contest.
- The Wings are 2-3 (SU) in their previous five games.
- Dallas is 5-3 ATS in its last eight outings.
- The Sky are 1-4 (SU) in their previous five contests.
- Chicago is 3-4 ATS in its last seven matchups.
The Wings have dropped four of the previous five meetings in this series. However, they are undefeated in their last five home outings, while Chicago is 3-7 across its last 10 home games. Considering that Dallas is the more complete team at the moment — paired with the Sky's road woes — the edge goes to the Wings in this interconference showdown.
