Mohamed Salah will play his final match for Liverpool at Anfield this weekend, as the Reds chase a win against Brentford to secure their spot in next season’s Champions League.
It is also an important weekend for the Bees, as a victory for the visitors could see them achieve European qualification for the first time in their history.

Anfield Bids Farwell to a Legend
Sunday will be all about Anfield getting the opportunity to bid farewell to one of their most legendary players, as Mohamed Salah will play his final game for the club.
Salah has made negative headlines this week about his comments about Arne Slot’s style of play, but the Egyptian has also underperformed with just seven goals in 26 games. It has been a forgettable season for the club overall, as the Reds have lost 19 games in all competitions this season; their most since 1992-93.

Brentford Chasing Historic Feat
Brentford have enjoyed an excellent season under Keith Andrews, as they will likely finish the campaign in the top half despite being among the pre-season favorites for relegation.
It is a concern that the Bees have won just one of their last nine in the league, but they have played out six draws across that period. Igor Thiago’s excellent performances in 2025-26 have seen him rewarded with a call up for Brazil’s World Cup squad. The striker has scored a remarkable 41% of Brentford’s goals this season.

Liverpool vs. Brentford Picks
Despite their issues this season, this should be a perfect final game for Liverpool against an out-of-form rival. The Reds have avoided defeat in their last ten on the final day of the season, and they are unbeaten in their last 18 on the final matchday when playing at Anfield.
