Fire Set Sights on Third Spot in East

It has been a reliable start to the 2026 season for the Chicago Fire, as the franchise have won seven of their opening 13 matches. Their hot streak has reached new heights in recent rounds, with victories in their previous two against D.C. United and Montreal. Last weekend.

Hugo Cuypers scored the game-clinching goal, taking his tally for the campaign to an impressive 13 in ten appearances. However, it could be worth noting that some of the Fire’s most disappointing results have come in home fixtures this season, with three of their four losses in 2026 coming at Soldier Field.

TFC on Long Winless Run

There have been few positives to take for Toronto FC so far this season, as they have won just three of their 13 fixtures. Despite avoiding defeat in seven matches, they have now failed to win in their previous seven.

Three defeats have been suffered in their last four fixtures, conceding at least two goals in five clashes since the start of April. Last weekend’s 3-1 loss at Charlotte FC was a huge blow for TFC, as they failed to convert chances in order to seize control of the fixture.

Chicago vs. Toronto Picks

These two sides come into this weekend in contrasting form, and it is incredibly hard to foresee Chicago’s winning run coming to an end. Therefore, the pressure could be piled on TFC at Soldier Field.
