A fascinating clash in the final round of MLS fixtures before the FIFA World Cup is set for this Saturday, as FC Cincinnati bid to end a poor run of form when they host Orlando City.
City will bring confidence into this weekend after going two without defeat. Cincinnati will need to show massive defensive improvement if they are to gain a favorable result.

Despite sitting ninth in the Eastern Conference standings, there are glaring issues that must be addressed at FC Cincinnati. The franchise have failed to win in their last three, and they have recorded just two victories in their previous nine.
Defensively, they have underperformed so far this season, as reflected by allowing ten goals in their last three fixtures. Their defensive average this season is staggering, conceding 2.5 goals per game. However, they have shown an attacking threat at the TQL Stadium, scoring 2.33 per 90.

Orlando City is improving as the season progresses, and their playoff chances will be enhanced following the FIFA World Cup when Antoine Griezmann arrives. City have avoided defeat in three of their last four, and they have suffered defeats in just two of their previous six.
Orlando have played competitively in their last two outings, beating the Philadelphia Union before earning a draw against Atlanta United last weekend. A slight concern this weekend is their record on the road, as City have lost five of their seven away fixtures in the MLS in 2026.
