Detroit led by three points at the break. However, the Pistons outscored Cleveland 61-43 in the second half, including a decisive 30-19 edge in the third quarter.
Cade Cunningham led a balanced scoring attack in which six players reached double figures. He scored 21 points and handed out eight assists. Daniss Jenkins added 15, while Jalen Duren posted a double-double of 15 points and 11 boards.
Cleveland stumbles at home, aims to regroup in a hurry
The Cavaliers had a chance to close things out on their home floor. Unfortunately, that did not come to fruition, as they lost by 21 points, which represents their worst loss of these playoffs.
Cleveland was outscored in every frame. On top of that, the host team committed 20 turnovers, which led to 28 points for Detroit. Furthermore, the Cavaliers shot 39 percent overall; 34 percent from 3, and were outscored 48-26 in the paint.
James Harden led the way with 23 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Evan Mobley and Donovan Mitchell added 18 points apiece for a Cleveland squad whose offense sputtered in the second half.
The home team won the first four games before the road team won Games 5 and 6. With that in mind, will top-seeded Detroit advance, or will Cleveland pull off the upset?
