Following an 84-81 win against the Los Angeles Sparks, Connecticut has dropped its last two games. This includes an 85-80 loss to the Chicago Sky on Friday night.

The Sun raced out to a 14-point advantage after the first quarter. But this affair came down to the last few possessions. Connecticut trailed 80-79 before Chicago's Elizabeth Williams hit two baskets, extending the deficit to five. Then, Skylar Diggins sealed the win for Chicago from the charity stripe.
Brittney Griner tied for team-high scoring honors with 16 points, along with eight rebounds, five assists and three blocks. Diamond Miller also scored 16 points, going 6-for-15 from the field.
After suffering three straight losses, the Liberty have responded with four consecutive wins over the last two weeks. In their recent outing, they outlasted the Indiana Fever 83-75 on Saturday.
New York trailed 66-62 at the halfway mark in the fourth quarter. However, the Liberty rallied to take the lead behind a 19-4 burst. Breanna Stewart hit 11 of 12 free throws during the game-changing stretch and Paulina Astier made two crucial layups to help the home team hold on for the victory.
Stewart powered the offense with 30 points and eight rebounds. She shot 6-for-15 overall and went 18-for-21 from the free-throw line. Satou Sabally led the second unit with 13 points and five rebounds in 22 minutes of action.
