The Thunder aim to regroup after a disappointing showing in Game 1

OKC entered this series on the heels of eight consecutive victories. Unfortunately, that streak came to an end with a 122-115 loss in Game 1 of the conference finals.

The Thunder rallied to force double overtime with key plays, including Gilgeous-Alexander's game-tying layup with 3.1 seconds left. But San Antonio proved to be too much down the stretch, and the defending champs must bounce back against an opponent that has dominated them this season.

Alex Caruso delivered a remarkable 31-point performance, knocking down eight 3-pointers. SGA added 24 points, 12 assists, and five steals, but the Spurs' defense held the two-time MVP to 7-for-23 shooting from the field.

San Antonio upends OKC thanks to Wembanyama's All-Time Performance

Neither team created a ton of separation in the opener. Furthermore, neither ball club shot the ball at a super-efficient rate, either. The Spurs converted 43 percent of their overall attempts, while Oklahoma City shot 41 percent.

However, San Antonio won the rebounding battle by a 61-40 margin. The road team also enjoyed a 52-38 edge in the paint.

Victor Wembanyma was the best player on the floor in Game 1, finishing with 41 points, 24 rebounds, and three blocks on 56 percent shooting from the field. Dylan Harper, who played well at both ends of the floor, registered 24 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, and seven steals.

Can the defending champs bounce back, or will San Antonio take a commanding 2-0 lead back to Texas?
